The Lunchtime Organ Recital Series began in 1995, through the efforts of its founder and curator, the late Frank Rippl, as a means of celebrating the many fine pipe organs in the greater Appleton area; the organ literature and the organists.

He brought together the performers, selected the church/organ locations, arranged for dates, publicity, and many other tasks necessary to hold these events.  Frank’s wisdom, energy, and dedication allowed the LORS to grow and develop for 24 years, before his passing in August, 2018.  Frank served for 46 years as organist and music director of All Saints Episcopal Church in Appleton.
