Lunchtime Summer Organ Recitals

The Lunchtime Organ Recital Series began in 1995, through the efforts of its founder and curator, the late Frank Rippl, as a means of celebrating the many fine pipe organs in the greater Appleton area; the organ literature and the organists.

He brought together the performers, selected the church/organ locations, arranged for dates, publicity, and many other tasks necessary to hold these events.  Frank’s wisdom, energy, and dedication allowed the LORS to grow and develop for 24 years, before his passing in August, 2018.  Frank served for 41 years as organist and music director of All Saints Episcopal Church in Appleton.

The series will take a hiatus this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but will continue in 2021 through the efforts of several volunteers, including his wife, Carol Jegen.  The recitals are held every Wednesday from 12:15 – 12:45pm.
